Our new Springfield campus is a £100 million project to transform a 12-acre, Grade II listed, former brewery site into Europe’s largest specialist construction and built environment campus, bringing together businesses and the education sector to maximise impact on the economy. Based in a city centre location and close to travel links, the new Springfield Campus is the culmination of the most ambitious aspect of the University of Wolverhampton's Our Vision, Your Opportunity programme.
Since it's purchase in 2014, the derelict site has been rejuvenated into a centre of excellence for construction and the built environment, delivering an unbeatable skills pathway for construction education and training from the age of 14 to senior professionals. As the home of the West Midlands University Technical College, the University's School of Architecture and Built Environment, and the Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills, it’s central to our vision of enhancing the student experience and supporting business growth.
The development is acting as the catalyst for economic and social regeneration, tailored to creating jobs and delivering the technical and professional experts required by the industry.
This is the first opportunity for businesses to see the new campus. Hosted by Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills, the event will enable guests to view the newly submitted plans for the University’s School of Architecture and Built Environment, have a tour of the site and hear more about our ambitious plans.
