CK is an independent firm of Chartered Accountants with a long and proud history in the Black Country. CK helps a wide variety of businesses and individuals, including owner managed small and medium sized businesses. We believe in providing the personal touch, getting to know businesses and the individuals behind them so we can best help them achieve their goals.
This event will give businesses the opportunity to hear from all four fund managers from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) and how businesses can access the fund. Attendees will hear of practical examples of how the fund has helped businesses grow and have the opportunity to ask questions of the fund managers and the British Business Bank.
Corporate Finance Partner at CK, Iain Johnstone, will talk about the options businesses have in accessing finance, for the purposes of business growth, refinancing or planning for an exit. Iain has over 30 year's experience in helping businesses grow.
The seminar will conclude with Paul Uppal, the Government's recently appointed Small Business Commissioner, talking about how he and his team are helping small businesses in a variety of capacities, specifically tackling late and unfavourable payment practices, something which can have a significant impact on a businesses cash flow. Paul Uppal has been running his own small business for over 20 years, as well as being the Member of Parliament for Wolverhampton South West from 2010-2015.
